All members are invited to Darren's for a party. Food, drink, entertainment, plus a field to camp the night if you wish.
Porthpean Sailing Club Sail/Kayak and BBQ Disco
Saturday 19th June 2.00pm onwards
All members are invited to Porthpean Sailing Club for the chance to sail on Saturday afternoon and also for a BBQ and Disco in the evening at the Midsummer Party. Sailing club members will in return get the chance to try a kayak or canoe.
BBQ and pudding cost is £5.00 per person

Surf Weekend
16th-18th October
Cornwall Canoe Clubs surf weekend. Kayak surfing aimed at novices and improvers.
Camping at St Eval, near Padstow, BBQ Saturday evening.
Based at Peter Frost's place St Eval - Grid ref. SW 861 690.
Please arrive either Friday evening to set up camp, or before 9.30am Saturday morning for briefing. Paddling on Saturday will finish in plenty of time to allow people to pitch tents in the daylight (if not already pitched Friday).

Sea Training Day

We will be meeting at Caerhays beach car park at 09.30 for 10.00 start, Map ref 0975413. We will do a 16km paddle in sea boats, this will be a per-requisite for the new 3 star, some towing and wet work at the end of the day. New Year Paddles

New Years Day Paddle at Fowey.
Meet Caffa Mill Car Park at 9am (sober). This will be a gentle paddle around the harbour and possibly to Polruan, Readymoney depending on weather and tide. HW is at 7.50 so this will be a low water paddle.
Bring a flask and a bit to bite. Off the water by 12.00 or there abouts.

River Paddles on the Fowey at Trago
Sunday 28th February and Sunday 28th March
Meet at 10.00am at Two Waters Foot (185 649 ) in the layby.
The trip is for 2 star paddlers who can roll if water levels are low, and 3 star if water levels are high. I can take 10 paddlers on the water, booking is on first come first go paddling.

New Year Paddle

Fowey River Canoe Club Race
Sunday 11th October 10.00am
The Fowey River Canoe Club are holding their annual race on Sunday 11th October. We have supported this over the years and at times you have to do real rescues! Anyone unsure about how to rescue a racing kayak please speak either to me or Richard Hobba.
Meet up at Fowey, Cafa Mill as normal, launch at 10.30am, the first race is at 11.00am. Cover the more exposed areas dependent on conditions, the race turns at Pont Pill.
Although parking is tight at Golant, I could do with a couple of paddlers up to help me cover the exposed area up to St Winnow. I will be based at Golant.

Hospice Care Swim Support (Wadebridge CC)

Volunteers needed for safety cover of this swim event at Roadford Lake in aid of Hospice Care.

Porthpean to Fowey with overnight stop at Lantic Bay. Meet 10.30am Saturday at Porthpean. Paddlers will need to carry kit as in the 3 star test (see below), plus camping gear (see Lee's hand out) and food for the overnight stop.
